Hello,
I am researching a project for university and am looking for old pictures of Clowne mines. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Your site is great. Would I have your permission to use any images? You are very welcome to look at my final piece before I display it. Its a photo montage using new and old technology.

My name is Maggie Morris and I am doing a photography degree at Notts Trent!

My piece is about the death of a community!

Cheers

Maggie

Hello

I have just been looking on your internet site as I am researching Ollerton Pit for an architecture degree project. I just wondered if u had any other images or other information on this pit, especially do you know what happened to all the equipment from these for example the wheel of the pit head. Any information received would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

HI,

I am wondering if you might be able to point me in the direction of information and hopefully pictures of the old "BUG AND A WINK PIT" at Coleorton Leicestershire.

I walk my dog in the wood that now stands on the old site of this pit and would love to know and see how it all looked once!

Mr Graham Ellis

Hello
Please could you help me, recently looking into my wifes family history we found out that her grandfather Wilfred Amos Noon was killed at the shipley coppice disaster in 1943, and was wondering if you knew anymore about it other than tha news paper artical, also with me running a video production company i would also like to make a documentary on the disaster.
Any help would be great.

Bradford Colliery Manchester

Do you have any information/contacts regarding Bradford Colliery Manchester, which closed in 1968?
It was a very old and deep colliery, the workings were over 3600 feet deep and mined the best coal in Lancashire; the Roger seam.

Can anyone help with details of a supposed accident at Bestwood Colliery 1911 to 1912 in which my Grandfather William Grainger was killed.
