Personal experiences in the mining industry (1947) and from 1953 to 1992.

When I began writing this tome in the 1950s it was purely for my own personal use because of my deep interest in mining. In later years it occurred to me that others may be interested also. With the use of a computer I have gradually whittled my scraps of paper down to a few hundreds! There is much more I could write. I am constantly researching and finding information from a variety of sources. Where possible I will add this information as time allows. However I apologise to any source not mentioned from which I have obtained information, or received it by incorrect procedure, however it is imperative that this information, the photographs and illustrations are included to enable future generations to appreciate what was once a great industry. There are omissions and possible mistakes no doubt. Please forward any information via the web site. Of course many experiences or observations, remarks and assumptions are purely my own, and any adverse remarks are not meant to offend.
