Stuart Barber Tunnels in Grange Colliery Area
Kevin Miner's disc for Baddesley Collieries
John Harrington Information about Emergency Winders wanted.

Subject: Information about Emergency Winders wanted.

Hello

Looking at the winder picture that comes up on Google - Images against "Emergency winders" I was side-tracked to a site for dating! Has a link been hijacked?

I am interested in any details regarding units such as the Mountaineers used for towing these units. Less interested in the tenders.
Somewhere I have a photo of a fire tender used at Ilkeston I think. Also a Crumlin Monmouthshire tender.

I used to have a site 'www.healeyhero.org.uk' but it was too expensive to run, '.co.uk' is a lot cheaper. Unfortunately there are still some links on Google but they go to all sorts of sites; nothing to do with me at all. There is also a site 'www.healeyhero.info' again that has nothing to do with me, they are just trading on the name!

 Miner's Disc

Hello

I am lucky enough to have acquired a miner's disc for Baddesley Collieries with the number 442 thereon; can you tell me anything about it please?
Thanking you in anticipation. Kevin.

I have just looked through my site in more depth, I thought there was a useful link there.
The link is the UK 's National Mining Memorabilia Association
http://www.mining-memorabilia.co.uk/NMMA.htm

They have a section about tokens and checks and can probably give you a lot of information:-
http://www.mining-memorabilia.co.uk/Checks.htm

And they have a section where you can advertise buying, selling or swapping at:-
http://pub38.bravenet.com/classified/show.php?usernum=3182565645&cpv=1

Hope this is of use
Regards

 Tunnels in Grange Colliery Area

Dear sir

We are currently in the process of buying a property in the Kimberworth area and we wondered if you had any information regarding where the tunnels ran in that particular area?

We would be grateful for any information you have.

With regards

Stuart Barber

For something as important as this I would suggest your solicitor gets a Coal Board survey.
