Permo-Trias ... a combination of strata in the Permian and Triassic deposits

Keuper marls and Keuper sandstones and Keuper Waterstones
Marl ... red, blue, grey or mottled
Conglomerate
Magnesian limestone
Basal breccia ... a bed of cement type material cutting off the water-bearing strata to the coal seam strata
Shale .... mudstone
Rock ... sand
Clunch ... below a coal seam
Stone clunch below a seam
Bind ... black, grey, white, blue above a seam
Clod ... overlying stone
Siltstone ... not as coarse as Sandstone
Bat ... dirty bad coal
Stone bind stronger than a mudstone bind
