The dirt to coal vend ratio had increased to above 50% and tipping room was at a premium as the present site was reaching maximum allowed height, however Town and Country Planning permission was granted in Sep 2013 to extend the area and increase the existing height.
Workforce Demand To Be Paid Weekly
To make matters worse though the workforce including Under-officials demanded that they be paid weekly instead of on monthly pay as was. Would wages be paid and should the pit close the redundancy money from the Company would be available sooner than the Government redundancy package which is much less? It would be the latter as the Company was struggling for money.
Problems Once Again
UK Coal or Coal Resources as the new name was from December 2013 when major changes were made in the Company, The operations were split into Mining and Property division.
