GARDEN PIT MEMORIAL
GARDEN PIT MEMORIAL
Pembrokeshire 1844
On February 14 th 1844 the incoming tide broke through the roof of the Garden Pit Mine and 40 mine workers were tragically drowned.
Maltby is very difficult for pictures; nowhere to really park within distance
(and a winding narrow road past the site), and the sun was against me. Sale of Maltby
