My grandfather, Fredrick Paddon, was killed in this disaster.

I have never seen a photograph of him and wondered if there were any photos of the team that died.

My mother was only 4 months old when he died.

Thank you
Michael Astle

Hi,

I was reading the emails sent in by various people regarding the 1913 Rufford Colliery disaster in Mansfield. There is an email, above, from Michael Astle asking if you have any photos of the workers as he has never seen a picture of his Grandfather. I have a picture of his Grandfather. If you would be so kind as to pass on my email to him I would be glad to send him a copy.

Regards

Alison Rupert

Hello,

I have read the report for the mining accident and it doesn’t mention my great grandfather and his step son who where both killed in this accident. Their names were Joseph (John) Tomlinson age 42 and William Hollings age 22.

Do you have any other photos of this Colliery?

Many thanks

Andy Lovell
