The Oaks Disaster

I have attached several documents:

One showing that Insurance companies were up to their old tricks even in 1866-67.

A report from the Oaks Explosion fund from 1916 listing the last survivors and how much was left in the fund.

I have also attached "A reminder of the Oaks Explosion" which was printed for the 1914 opening ceremony of the Samuel Cooper Memorial to all the rescue party members who died. In this booklet there is the reprint of the Bishop of Ripon's report on the disaster.

Best wishes,

William
